One of the most stylish vehicles available today from the German manufacturer is the CLS. So, when it comes to the new model year, what’s new in the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS?
First released back in 2004, the CLS quickly became a popular option for drivers looking for a luxury coupe model. The CLS has long been known as a slick vehicle that offers impressive coupe styling with the practicality of a sedan. Now in its third generation, the CLS is more exciting than ever before.
Power of the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS
Starting with performance, the 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS offers an exciting new 3.0-liter inline-6 turbo engine with EQ Boost. This engine is able to generate 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This engine is then paired with the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. The EQ Boost technology works by pairing an Integrated Starter-Generator with a 48V battery in order to offer an additional 21 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.
The 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLS, like many other Mercedes-Benz vehicles, offers plenty of exciting safety features both available and standard in the new coupe. Available features include the newest generation of Driver Assistance featuring PRE-SAFE® Impulse Side, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Lane Change Assist and Route-Based Speed Adaptation. Then standard in the new CLS are technologies such as PRE-SAFE® Sound, Car-to-X Communication, Active Brake Assist, DYNAMIC SELECT and KEYLESS START.
