What is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz SLC Final Edition?
Way back in 1996, Mercedes-Benz first showed off the SLK production model at the Turin Motor Show. At the time, the SLK helped start a new generation of roadsters that had a yario-roof which offered open-air driving without any kind of discomfort in bad weather. Now, the German automaker brought the roadster back and showcased a new model under the SLC name. So, what is the 2020 Mercedes-Benz SLC Final Edition? Let’s take a look.
Back in 2016, Mercedes-Benz gave their SLK model an update during its third generation, and in turn renaming the model SLC. This change from SLK to SLC showcased the vehicle’s closer relationship in design and style to the popular C-Class, which shares many features and technological advancements. Now 20 years after its initial release, the 2020 Mercedes-Benz is set to arrive at dealerships in the United States next year in 2020.
Of course, whenever there is a new Mercedes-Benz model coming out, people will be curious to learn about the roadster’s performance and specs. Luckily for drivers, new information is already out. In fact, the new model comes equipped with a 4-cylinder engine capable of 241 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. The new SLC will also be able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 5.8 seconds, as well as have a top speed of 155 mph.
