Mercedes-Benz Plug-in Hybrid Technology
This new SUV made its world debut at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show, showcasing the new third-generation plug-in hybrid technology from Mercedes-Benz. Plug-in hybrid models help give drivers the best of both worlds, with all-electric driving modes for great efficiency when driving through town, to the range of a combustion engine best suited for longer trips.
Plug-in Hybrid Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e 4MATIC®* EQ Power is equipped with a standard combustion engine, electric motor and a 13.5 kWh battery to offer an approximate electric range of 28-30 miles. The new model also has a net system horsepower of 315 and 516 lb-ft net system torque rating.
By the end of the year, Mercedes-Benz will have more than 10 plug-in hybrid models available around the world. In fact, the manufacturer plans to have more than 20 plug-in hybrid variants available in 2020.
