Mercedes-Benz Pickup Concept X-Class Reveal
Today Mercedes-Benz has unveiled to the world its latest venture in superior automobiles, the Concept X-Class. Debuted as the fourth model under the Mercedes-Benz Van brand, the mid-size pickup is designed to represent both beauty and rugged capability. It’s meant to be the crossover of the pickup segment, fulfilling the requirements to be an urban explorer and off-road adventurer.
X-Class Mercedes-Benz Performance
When it hits select markets, the X-Class will be equipped with a superior V6 diesel engine. Mandatory on its off-road performance models, Mercedes-Benz has also fit the mid-size pickup with its permanent all-wheel-drive system with advanced systems for exceptional handling. The chassis features a five-link rear axle and precise dampening system to enhance the overall driving comfort.
Concept X-Class Design
Presenting itself as urban and off-road capable, the X-Class pickup was revealed with two model designs, the explorer and adventurer. The X-Class Explorer sports a white metallic finish and unique tailgate with LED monolithic surround lighting. For the Adventurer, the brand debuted the truck in a matte green with carbon wheel arches and a functional grid tailgate. Both models feature 22-inch wheels with model-specific designs, the only difference being that the Adventurer is equipped with off-road tires.
Serving as a representation of lifestyle, leisure, labor and liberty, the concept model melds the beauty of toughness with the high-tech interior design of the current Mercedes-Benz lineup. The Concept X-Class is trimmed in premium materials with its systems being operational using the same swipe technology in current Mercedes-Benz models.

When will the Concept X-Class be released?
Engineered with all of the off-road and on-road expertise of Mercedes-Benz, the Concept X-Class will be ideal for the dirty jobs but also have the ability to serve as a lifestyle vehicle. The Mercedes-Benz brand is the first premium manufacturer to offer a mid-size pickup and with that momentum, hopes to extend the pickup segment as a whole. It is a true crossover between the off road truck with urban lifestyle capabilities and will be launched by the end of 2017. It will be available in select markets in Latin America, Australia, South Africa and Europe.
