While other SUVs could possibly tow and carry more, the GLS 450 model focuses on the quality of the ride and handling of an SUV. The 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 offers a luxury feel with family friendly functionality.
Both the exterior and interior of the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 were changed from the previous year. The exterior features a redesigned front end as well as full LED taillamps. The instrument panel on the interior also got a redesign, including a new media display, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel and a modified center console with touchpad compatibility.
Each GLS model in the Mercedes-Benz lineup saw increased performance with the 2017 models. The GLS 450 is fitted with a 3.0-liter V6 biturbo engine capable of 362 horsepower, 369 lb-ft of torque and a towing capacity of 7,500 lbs. The 2017 GLS 450 also features 9G-TRONIC nine-speed automatic transmission. All of Mercedes-Benz’s GLS models come standard with 4MATIC® all-wheel drive*, with the torque being split between the front and rear wheels.
