2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG® GT C Debuts at Chicago Auto Show
While five different Mercedes-Benz models, the 2018 AMG® GT, 2018 AMG® GT C, 2018 E Coupe, 2018 GLA and 2017 SLC, all made their debut at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show, one of the more sought after vehicles is the GT C. Mercedes-AMG models are known for their exceptional performance. But, none have come close to that of the “Beast of the Green Hell.” The Mercedes-AMG GT R has set the fastest-ever lap time on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the world’s toughest race track which is nicknamed the “Green Hell.”
One lap on the Nordschleife tests all aspects of performance for a sports car and the “Beast” stepped up to the challenge. The Mercedes-AMG GT R was able to complete one lap in only 7 minutes and 10.9 seconds, a time never made by any sports car not just Mercedes-Benz models. (more…)
How does the Mercedes-Benz ECO Start/Stop System Work?
In various Mercedes-Benz models is the brand’s ECO Start/Stop system for increased fuel economy throughout its lineup. It works to improve the fuel efficiency of equipped Mercedes-Benz models and is convenience exclusive to the Mercedes-Benz drivers. Engineers estimate that with such a system, drivers can improve efficiency between 3 and 12 percent. (more…)
Mercedes-Benz has always been an innovator in the luxury vehicle industry and has continued its legacy with the introduction of not one but two new performance models. The brand has just debuted the 2018 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Roadster and 2018 AMG GT C Roadster with more intense performance feature than any other sports car.
