The first batch of information on the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan has been released, and it’s got us all kinds of excited here at Mercedes-Benz of Wilmington. The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan lineup features the 2018 S450, the 2018 S450 4MATIC, the 2018 S560, the 2018 S560 4MATIC, the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S560 4MATIC, the 2018 Mercedes-AMG S63 and the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650. Which model is right for you depends a lot on what kind of engine you want, so let’s get right down to it and check out all the engine and performance features for the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Sedan lineup.

Like the 2017 Mercedes-Benz S-Class lineup before it, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class lineup features a number of different engines to choose from. The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class lineup begins with the 2018 S450 and S450 4MATIC, each of which features a 3.0-liter V6 Biturbo engine offering 362 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. Next, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz S560, S560 4MATIC and 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S560 4MATIC each features the new 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo engine offering 463 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque while also being one of the most fuel efficient V8 engines in the world. This engine is also paired with a 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. The 2018 Mercedes-AMG S63 features an AMG Handcrafted 4.0-liter V8 Biturbo engine offering 603 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque paired with an AMG SPEEDSHIFT® MCT 9-speed transmission. Finally, the 2018 Mercedes-Maybach S650 features a 6.0-liter V12 Biturbo engine offering 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque paired with a 7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission. No fuel economy ratings have been released for the engines.
