New 2018 E-Class Cabriolet at the New York International Auto Show
With the New York International Auto Show taking place from April 14 to April 23, Mercedes-Benz is getting a jump start by showing their upcoming 2018 E-Class Cabriolet on April 12. The new 4-seater model is bringing new and advanced features to make each passenger comfortable with each trip they take. Read on to learn more about the new 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet at the New York International Auto Show.
The soft top in the new Cabriolet model is made from premium fabric, and was designed to reduce wind and driving noise at highway-like speeds. The soft top is available in dark brown, dark blue, red or black, and is able to be fully opened or closed in just 20 seconds, even when traveling at speeds up to 30 MPH or less.
However, riding with the top down in a cabriolet model is usually only possible in warm weather. Lucky for Mercedes-Benz fans this year, the new 2018 E-Class Cabriolet includes new features to make driving with the top down in colder weather possible. The new AIRSCARF technology helps circulate warm air up to the neck area to make sure the passengers are completely warm. The AIRCAP system was also designed with driving in cold weather in mind. This new technology consists of an electric wind deflector that is integrated into the roof of the vehicle, as well as an electric wind blocker located behind the rear seats. This feature is able to reduce the amount of turbulence for passengers just with the press of a button.
The infotainment system in the 2018 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet also includes a large, 12.3 inch display, complete with COMAND® navigation and smartphone compatibility.
